Truth is… I ended up going back to the city to see Taylor on Tuesday. I skipped both of my last classes (but I told my teacher before hand). It was really cool. It was kind of those opportunities where you’d be pissed if you weren’t there. I couldn’t miss it. Once in a lifetime chance. This time, the taping was at the Rooftop Garden bar and restaurant on 5th ave. We waited probably an hour and a half to get in. I actually cut off a lot of people because I met up with my friend. My bad haha. And since Brittany and I came late the day before, we didn’t have wristbands. I talked to the guy and he ended up giving me gray wristbands which was on a higher terrace than people with purple wristbands (from the Central Park performance). So it was kinda cool. We had an advantage and got a better view. We all had to take elevators to the top, which was the 20th floor. It took FOREVERRR. So many people. 4 elevators, 300 people.. you do the math. We finally got up and it was legit. The place was crazy! It looks like a place that would be on The Hills haha. Or… actually The City :P. Anyways, the rooftop was decorated with pretty lights on the trees and plants. I want to rent it for a future party ha. It was kind of cool being there because I actually can’t get back into the place until I turn 21. So yeahhh we did a pretape of the audience and then we practiced our hype before Taylor got there. Maybe an hour later after everyone was in their places, Taylor arrived and she sang her first song. I know she sang 5 (Mine, Sparks Fly, The Story of Us, Enchanted, and Speak Now). She is the sweetest person ever! She’s super down to earth and is just like every other 20 year old girl… just with amazing writing capabilities. I wish she did a meet and greet, but she had to go to David Letterman after. I took a few pictures and a video but I don’t want to put it up until after the actual showing of the performance. It’ll air on Thanksgiving on NBC. So if you have any opportunity like this, just go for it. It’s a lot of waiting around, but being in the moment is totally worth it.
So I went to the Taylor Swift performance today. IT WAS AMAZING. I seriously love that girl. This was the first time I’ve ever seen her live. I’ve been waiting 2 years to see her. She only sang one song (but many times haha), but she’s really good. I know she’s kind of pitchy at times but I was surprised on how well she performed today. She didn’t even know we (the fans) were gonna be there, so she was really excited to see everyone. The taping went well and we got invited back for the other performance tomorrow. I want to go so bad, but I have class and I probably won’t make it on time. Tomorrow’s taping is supposed to be from 4:30-10 too. That’s 5 and a half hours!!!!! I’m so jealous of everyone who’s going. I have a feeling there’s going to be a meet and greet and I’ll be super sad. But I do hope I’ll get to meet her one day or see her in concert, cause she’s definitely one of my idols<3
i dont care if i have to sleep in a van. i dont care if i have to wear dirty clothes. i dont care if i get very little sleep. i dont care if i have to leave everything behind. i dont care if i live off of fastfood/unhealthy food. i want to have fun.
I really enjoy the fact that certain people can stay so down to earth. The people who remember where they came from despite where they are now. Yes, you probably know where this is heading so I’m going to stop. :P
